Pumped downhole to neutralize Sulfate-Reducing Bacteria (SRBs) responsible for devastating Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion (MIC) and well souring. PAA heavily outperforms glutaraldehyde in cold-temperature wells and is exceptionally compatible with complex anionic friction reducers ('slickwater'). Unlike chlorine, PAA will not prematurely cross-link or break the rheology of the polymer gels.
